In Charlotte Amelie, US Virgin Islands, the Raiders finished 0-3 in the Paradise Jam and fell to 1-4 on the season with a 64-56 loss to the College of Charleston.

11-25-06:
In Murfreesboro, Troy scored with 14 seconds remaining to beat MT (7-5, 6-1) 21-20. They overcame a 13 point deficit in the game's final 2:19. MT's touchdowns came on a Desmond Gee run and a Desmond Gee pass to Stephen Chicola. The Raiders record fell to 6-1 in conference and 7-5 overall.

11-23-96:
In Murfreesboro, the Raiders (6-5, 4-4) clinched a winning season with a 16-10 win over Tennessee Tech. Kelverick Green rushed for 124 yards and Keegan Ray kicked 4 field goals. Dee Mostiller had 5 receptions to finish with 110 for his career, tied for the all-time career reception record.

In Fairbanks, AK, in the early morning, MT began the Randy Wiel era with a 66-63 upset win over Montana in the Top of the World Classic. The game was tied 63-63 when Montana called a timeout that they didn't have. Nod Carter hit both of the free throws. Roni Bailey led MT with 14 points.

Later that day, the Raiders had another upset, this time against Providence. Roni Bailey drove for a game-winning layup with 7 seconds remaining. Nod Carter led the Raiders with 25 points.

11-24-96: In Fairbanks, AK, the Raiders missed a half court shot at the buzzer and lost to Alabama 77-74 in the Top of the World Classic. Nod Carter and Roni Bailey both scored 25 points for MT.

11-22-86:
In Murfreesboro, Middle Tennessee (6-5, 4-3) ended the season with a 21-6 win over Tennessee Tech. Dwight Stone rushed for 92 yards and 2 TDs, to finish the season with 1,026 yards. The other TD was on a Marvin Collier pass to Mike Pittman.

11-26-86: 5 Blue Raiders were named All-OVC. Dwight Stone (RB), Tony Burse (FB), Cecil Andrews (G), Roosevelt Colvard (LB) and DuJuan Buford (DB).

11-20-76:
In Cookeville, TN, the Raiders (4-7, 2-5) ended the season with a 33-10 loss to Tennessee Tech. Mike Moore rushed for 130 yards and a touchdown. He also threw a halfback pass to Larry Miller for 60 yards.

50 Years Ago This Week
11-24-66:
In Cookeville, TN, on Thanksgiving, MT (7-3,5-2) ended the season with a 21-14 victory over Tennessee Tech. Larry Mathews had a touchdown run. As time expired in the 1st half, MT's Hlodan caught a deep pass from Walker at the 12 yard line and, as he was being tackled, lateraled to Ken Caplenor, who scored. With 18 seconds left in the game, TTU QB, Tommy Von Tone scrambled to the 19 yard line when a fight broke out on the other side of the field. The clock continued to run and Tech was unable to get another play off.

11-22-56:
In Cookeville, TN, on Thanksgiving, the Raiders (7-2,6-0) finished the regular season by clinching the OVC championship with a 26-6 win over Tennessee Tech. The first half was scoreless but 2nd half turnovers by Tech helped MT pull away. Terry Sweeney started the scoring with a rushing score. After an interception by William Hall, Tillman Harris ran 49 yards for a TD. 3 minutes later Don Plonk intercepted a pass, that set up a running score by Terry Sweeney for a 20-0 lead. Sid Corban intercepted a pass and returned it to the Tech 28. 7 plays later Buck Rolman scored for a 26-0 lead.

11-26-36:
In Murfreesboro, on Thanksgiving, MT (7-1) ended the season with a 7-6 win over Tennessee Polytechnic Institute. The game's only touchdown was a run by John Hambrick of the Raiders. MT and the Citadel finished as co-champions of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association.
