In Murfreesboro, the 17th ranked Lady Raiders (24-3, 16-0) were pushed to the limit but gained their 21st consecutive victory with a 66-59 win over FIU. MT led 44-23 with 17:33 remaining but had to hold off the comeback. The 24th regular season win broke the school record, held by the 82-83 team. Krystle Horton scored 10 of her 12 points in the 2nd half and also had 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals. Chrissy Givens led scoring with 17 points and also had 9 rebounds.

In Nashville, the Lady Raiders (7-18, 5-10) lost 82-79 to Tennessee State despite 22 points from Carlita Elder. Jessica Beaty had 8 points and became the 11th Lady Raider to score 1,000 points in a career.

2-15-97: In Charleston, IL, the Lady Raiders (7-19, 5-11) lost 85-75 to Eastern Illinois. Jessica Beaty led MT with 20 points.

2-17-97: In Cape Girardeau, MO, the Lady Raiders (8-19, 6-11) started the game on a 21-5 run and beat Southeast Missouri State 78-63. Cortney Neeley led MT with 19 points.

In Murfreesboro, the Lady Raiders (14-7, 9-2) upped their win streak to 10 games with an 89-58 win over Austin Peay. Kim Webb scored 21 points and became the first MT player, male or female, to pass the 2,000-point mark in career scoring. Alice Lawrence led in scoring, for the game, with 24 points.

2-16-87: In Murfreesboro, the Lady Raiders (15-7, 10-2) beat Murray State 101-83 for their 11th straight win. Four Lady Raiders scored over 20 points: Janet Ross (23), Tawanya Mucker (21), Lianne Beck (20) and Alice Lawrence (20).
