Well, I hope you guys are right.
I have my doubts because Stockstill doesn't inspire any hope here. Even a close win won't win many over. If it's a close win over the FCS school, most casual fans will see it as confirmation that this is another weak version of the Blue Raiders and unworthy of renewed interest. If the win is to do anything positive for fan interest, it's needs to be a multi-score margin of victory followed up by some solid performances on the road (wins).

I've changed my mind on this one. Not because of us, but I was giving Monmouth too much credit. My biggest concern for this game is CRS's history of usually having us woefully unprepared for week 1. However, Monmouth comes from one of the worst conferences in FCS and hardly ever wins OOC games against quality opponents.
I think our futility makes it a close game though.
