Why would a guy need a wake up call, he is the most important player for this year (not the best one). Does the kid not see his opportunity?

Giddy experienced the same kind of thing with Kermit, if you recall his sophomore year...

If what folks are asserting here is true, it sort of makes sense. Walters will be absolutely critical as the big anchor inside for the team. Kermit being a tough minded coach that we all know he is, it's not entirely surprising that Kermit would be cracking down and trying to get the attention and max effort from the slightly inexperienced big guy who needs to step up huge this season. Let's face it, Kermit don't play.
