Raiders Open Bahamas Trip With 87-64 Win

...Middle Tennessee tipped of with a starting lineup of Darnell Harris, Ed Simpson, Giddy Potts, Copeland and Reggie Upshaw. 13 different Blue Raiders saw action throughout the game.

Blue Raider veteran Perrin Buford came off the bench to pace the team with 15 points, eight boards and three blocks. Upshaw added 13 points and seven boards while Potts added 13 points of his own.

Middle Tennessee dominated on the boards with 63 rebounds to the Shockers' 36. The team also managed to force 17 turnovers and produced 28 points off of those turnovers.

Freshman forward Karl Gamble also gave the Raiders an added boost off the bench with 12 points and eight rebounds.....

Great to get me some Blue Raider Basketball. Thanks, Space, for pulling in the YouTube videos. Hopefully we'll be able to watch all three games over the weekend.

Only watched the first half - gotta get on with life - looking forward to catching the 2nd half later.

Three quick thoughts: Phillips looks like he might just be ready (finally) to give some significant minutes. I already like the two freshmen. And, Copeland just might make a good PG.

Only 13 players dressed out. Which player is not on the trip/ not dressed out? Can't tell the players without a lineup card - Numbers don't match roster on GoBlueRaiders.com. # 31? # 23?

I think if you can get 13 a game from Buford, Upshaw and Potts this year, you're REALLY liking your chances if you're KD.

Good to see some hoop action though - personally my preference over football.

Well, I guess the over-signing problem has been solved. Hate it for the young man. He really came on when needed toward the end of last year. I surely hope this wasn't a situation of "running off" a player and that he lands somewhere for his Sr. year.

And just for the record SmithO1906; How long has this "dismissal" been public knowledge and what was the reason given? It's so hard being a fan of a %$&-major when info is so slow in getting out, if it gets out at all.
