Post season possibilities

So I had a thought. If Jax St beats Liberty tomorrow, then Liberty has a chance at an at-large bid. With our conference needing a representative in the NIT. So it would then fall on us. I’m not sure if we would get 2 teams in the NIT, but I’m guessing it’s possible? Otherwise the CBI would almost be certain I’m guessing.

Liberty would be a great rep in the NCAA, but I very much doubt an at-large bid would come as there are higher regarded program available. I think if any post season is possible it is the CBI

If Liberty wins, we go to the NIT.
NIT selection isn’t based on standings, it’s based on an average of 7 metrics and Jax is lower.

prior to the tournament our average was like 102 and theirs was like 124.9.
Seriously doubt you could make that kind of a gap up when it’s the average of 7 ratings

Yup. Everything I've seen has us in the NIT.
Now, if Jax beats Liberty, things change, maybe.

If Jax wins and LU doesn't get a NCAA at-large, LU "should" get the NIT reg season champ automatic spot as they are above 125 in the 7 metrics and CUSA is in the top 12. However, we are above 125 avg as well and should get called first for an exempt spot.

From what I've read, the 16 exempt spots are filled before the reg season champ spots. So going by that, we should be in regardless of who wins.
And as an exempt team we would be guaranteed to host a first round game.
