"Benefield, an MT signee, was named the District 7-AAA Player of the Year after leading the Stars in batting average (.429), home runs (five), doubles (11), triples (four), runs scored (25) and RBIs (34). Benefield was also named The DNJ's Position Player of the Year earlier this month."

Two others on all 7-AAA team.

Apparently we also signed Riley Delgado, Dustin's brother, who was just named a JUCO gold glove winner.

MT signee Derek Bangert had a pretty good JUCO season (17/69/.372). This site has him listed as a 1B/C but the MT release last year had him as 1B/OF. Either way he's almost a given to start somewhere next year. Would be great if he could catch some as that appears to be the biggest primary position hole looking towards next season.

Well that was his freshman year. Had a solid sophomore year too but not quite as good (6/30/.357).

High school signee Devin Conn had a pretty good season too (2/25/.329 and a 1.91 ERA).

Couldn't find much stat wise on Ben Drudy out of Jackson State CC except he made 2nd team all conference.

Chase Hensley pitched in 2 games and didn't do too hot. Not sure if he suffered an arm injury or just lost the coach's trust after that.

Couldn't find any stats for Andy Wright out of Soddy Daisy or AJ Spencer out of Georgia.

Nothing recent for Frank Reeves except I did discover he was home schooled and played on a team made up of exclusively home schooled kids. Don't see that very often.

MaxPreps has Austin Dennis ranked as the #9 player in Florida but not much else on him.
