Honestly, I think the first home game, against the clown college, is the most important game. No one really expects the Blue Raiders to do much in Ann Arbor the first week, but tsu is a different story. FCS, local, and they view us as a rival in everything. Haven't played them in two decades - the first game in the expanded JRF stadium which the Raiders barely squeaked by. Given MT's 1-7 record against other geographically close football programs the last four seasons and Stockstill teams slow out of the gate performances, this is a game we do not want to lose. If this game is a big egg and an 'L' then you might as well close the gates the rest of the season, because no one is coming through them. It won't matter what we do in any other game or all the other games the rest of the season.

I agree, it TSU. Its our first game, most likely one of better attended games. If you don't win when people come, it doesn't matter if you win in an empty stadium.
