The $46-per-semester increase in mandatory fees covers rising costs or proposed programs in Athletics, Parking Services, Health Services, the Recreation Center and the Student Government Association.

There's a quick $2 million or more.

Shelby County Commissioner Terry Roland:

“If there is nothing to hide then Shelby County Schools shouldn't worry about it right?" said county commissioner Terry Roland.

“I don't think the state knew how deep this was,” says Roland. Roland is relieved outside auditors are reviewing what's happened at all SCS high schools, saying since Mackin went public, “Principals are coming forward now saying it might have happened at their schools. So, what I’m seeing is there is going to be a wide range of checking every one of them."
