BASKETBALL McDevitt Given 3 Year Extension

Let's think of it like this. What has been MT's most successful athletic program this past year? It was a program that had nothing to do with the president or the athletic director. It was a club hockey team that used a go fund me account sponsored right here on this sight.
Hopefully our hockey team doesn't become an NCAA sponsored sport. Because if it does McPhee & Massaro would immediately turn it into a shit show just like most of our men's programs.
Speaking of our other successful program in men's tennis. Once again it's success has been pretty much self developed by the coach himself. I understand most of the facilities were due to his drive & fundraising ability, not so much McPhee or Massaro.
So to the hockey & tennis coaches we salute you. You've done tremendous work on your own. Surprised you're still here, but very glad you are. Keep it up.

A lot of this comes down to one thing :

What do you see as the "floor" (minimum expectation) vs "ceiling" (the great years you remember decades later)?

MT is 7 years into the McD experiment, with McD's best roster, MT MBB only goes 22-12 with a 1st round exit in the NIT. If that's the best he can do, that's McD's ceiling.

You don't extend someone when their ceiling is 22-12. You extend someone when their floor is 22-12 & their ceiling is 25-5

CKD raised the floor / minimum expectations for the program. And 22-12 ain't it. It's time for Middle to be more than somewhere in the middle.
Massaro just called and he wants to know what this "floor" is, that you speak of. Floor? What floor?

Is this still a fan site? Did you guys go to MTSU? How on earth can there possibly be so many complaints. Coach McDevitt did a good job this year and took a major step forward. How can anyone argue that this didn't merit a contract extension?
Don't think the complaints are about the extension itself
