excerpt:

...The Alaska Anchorage Seawolves host the MTSU Blue Raiders in the Great Alaska Shootout.

The Division II Alaska Anchorage Seawolves are currently 6-3 after having their five game winning streak halted by Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros. The Seawolves are generally an unknown but are more then capable at both ends of the floor where they average 83 points on over 45% while allowing 68 points on 40.5% in an up tempo style of play. Sekou Wiggs is the undisputed leader with almost 24 points and seven rebounds with Corey Hammell providing some muscle in the paint at 13 points and nine boards. Spencer Svejcar is third in scoring at 12 points. Christian Leckband and Diante Michael combine for 21 points as the entire starting five score in double figures.

The Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders are penciled in as a challenger in the top heavy CUSA with good reason as the majority of the team’s production returns from last season. The Blue Raiders head to the Great Alaska Shootout at 1-1 after squeezing by Tennessee State 69-66. Both teams sank shots in the 41% range with MTSU totaling eight more shots which turned in to four more field goals in a one possession contest. Giddy Potts led the Blue Raiders attack with 21 points and seven pulls with Darnell Harris adding 16 points and six yanks. Quavius Copeland was next in line with 15 points but the rest of the team managed just 17 points.....

Kermit talked all the stuff about how good Gamble is. So far that hasn't translated to on the court production

these officials are terrible.

Other than the one at half time, which they oddly reversed, Kermit didn't seem too upset. I honestly wondered at one point if he didn't ask the refs to call it tighter on us since it was a DII game. Seemed pretty one sided for sure.

Based on pre-season expectations and records we should be in the finals tomorrow. But who can tell what will happen? Regardless, gonna be hard to stay up to watch the game. Hope I make it through till 1:00 +/-.

It awesome being able to have Pete Gillen as part of the broadcast crew, he does a damn good job.

He should remember when we beat his Final 4 Providence team (with God Shamgod and Austin Croschere) in the Top of the World Classic in Randy Wiel's first game.

So they are going to show a replay of the first semi while the 2nd is going on? You gotta be kidding.

ESPN shows both semis on CBSSN at the scheduled time. Hope they are right. We'll see if Toledo/Loyola(Chi) is on at 8:30.
