If there's ever been a better example of next man up at MT, when injuries were taking its toll on the Blue Raiders late last season, I can't think of one.

JaQawn Raymond takes to Twitter to explain future plans

...The 6-foot-4, 200 pound guard capped off his career on a high note, averaging 10.1 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in his final eight games his senior year, including a season-high 20 points in the C-USA semi-final win against Marshall.

Raymond also finished ninth all-time in career 3-pointers made at MTSU with 119.....

Jaqawn Raymond in the first 30 games of last season: 36.8% FG shooting, 30.7% 3 pt shooting, 60.5% FT shooting, 1.3 Asst-to-TO ratio, 1.9 rebounds per game, 0.9 steals per game, 4.5 points per game

Jaqawn Raymond in the 5 combined games of the C-USA and NCAA Tournament: 55.2% FG shooting, 56.3% 3 pt shooting, 76.9% FT shooting, 2.4 Asst-to-TO ratio, 2.8 rebounds per game, 1.6 steals per game, 10.2 points per game

It was the most stunning in-season reversal of fortune I have ever seen. Stuff of Blue Raider legend now.

Perrin Buford came on late as well. Kermit's teams typically play better near the close of the season
