If I were the AD I’d schedule TSU to open the season at home every opportunity I got (other TN FCS teams if TSU couldn’t do it).
I would then try to get Vandy/UTK on the schedule for our P5 “payday” game as often as possible because it is close by for fans and Vandy is winnable most years (H&H if Vandy is interested).
From there the I would try to setup H&H’s with regional G5 teams. Marshall, App St, Troy, UAB, Memphis, ECU, Georgia St, Georgia Southern, Ohio, Southern Miss, Arkansas St, Tulane, ULL and Miami OH would be the schools I’d target. Almost all of those are driving distance and a lot of them have strong followings and I think would gain some interest. They might actually bring a few fans.
