I'm just glad we had someone move on to a better job. I would rather our administration hire people with potential to do a great job and be hired away by someone with deeper pockets than the alternative.

How about hire the best man for the job? Webb did a great job and was a GA Tech assistant. I would inquire with Whit and see who he thinks would be a good fit.

I am thinking Whit Turnbow had a lot to do with the selection, though I could be wrong.

The problem with hiring an assistant is that you could get another Webb or Stockstill or McGuire. You REALLY don't know what you're going to get whereas when you bring in a proven head coach the chances are high that they will continue to be as successful as they were at their previous job.
