The IPF was included in the request from MT to the state but that was denied for the 25-26 budget.Hopefully they can get started within the next six months and then focus on the IPF.
Is there enough in the budget to get rid of the high school bleachers?
As I understand it : it's in the budget. It still has to go through the proper approvals, but Lee signed the budget a few weeks ago (if I'm not mistaken). That's a huge step. I don't see a way the Governor signs it and the building approvals say no, but it's always possible.I was told the state is holding MT back though.
I fully expect some - if not all - of the bleachers to go away or be replaced with something more modern, visually appealing, and functional. That's part of the master plan for sure. Who knows if it will happen with this as there may be some restrictions to focus on academic areas first. But the eventual plan is to remove the bleachers and install revenue generating box seats. I'm sure the new entry across from the SAPC can be included considering MC is used for high school graduations as well.
