was just checking the latest standings posted today to include track and field. MT is #161 with only baseball to be posted after the college world series complete. There were two or three years running not long ago when MT finish below 100.

On Monte's show a few days ago he stated that Dean Hayes had compiled the numbers for a C-USA best all round sports award similar to The Belt's Bubas Cup. By Coach Hayes computations he stated that MT would have won such an award this year had C-USA had such an award and compiled it the same way as The Belt.
I have no idea how the Directors Cup points are awarded (I'm sure it's readily available somewhere) but it is hard to comprehend how we would win an All-around award in C-USA (using The Belt's criteria) but finished in a distant 6th place in the Director Cup for C-USA schools. I thought both were to determine the best all round and rank athletic departments. Hard to believe they come up with such different results.
