FOOTBALL Can we keep Mack Brown?

You obviously don't realize that texas didn't have a player drafted for the first time in something like 50 years during the last year of mack browns tenure at texas.

The last thing this program needs is another tired old coach looking for a rocking chair. No Houston Nut, no Mack Brown and certainly no to his f-n brother either. No to all the burnt out, used up, old fart, former head coaches.

This program needs a fiery young coach, who can identify talent, recruit it, motivate it, win games, and sell the program to the fans. That is what's lacking with the current staff.

God help us if anyone either in Murphy Center or Cope or wherever the hell the BOT resides thinks that an old retread is the answer. That is honestly my second biggest fear regarding MT football, just behind CRS coaching here to the end of days. Hell, MT didn't fire andy mccollum until he had locked up his fourth straight losing season, and then there were a significant number movers and shakers that thought Watson Brown was the answer.

God help us all.

We need a fired up, hungry OC from a P5 school. The last two hires at Memphis have paid huge dividends. One came from TCU and the other from Arizona St. it works folks. After 12 seasons of this crap the fanbase needs hope. Hiring another retread will kill the program for good. This doesn’t need to be McPhee or Massaro’s hire. It needs to be a Committee decision of the folks paying the salary after hiring a consulting firm.
