in school history a defending national champion in any sport has played
at MTSU (Maryland women's basketball, 2006-07).


The Commodores, who have won eight of their past nine games, enter
the contest second in the SEC in team batting average (.312). They trail
only top-ranked LSU (.327).


Vanderbilt shortstop Dansby Swanson
leads the SEC in runs scored (30), while outfielder Rhett Wiseman is
first in the league in total bases (65). Former Blackman High standout
Zander Wiel, a first baseman, is tied for second in the SEC in RBI (26).....
