A plus for Benny Cunningham?

Rams just traded Zach Stacy to Jets. Stacy requested the trade after Rams drafted Todd Gurley. Could this move solidify Benny as # 2 at St. Louis?

Let's not get carried away with Stacey leaving the Rams. He was one dimensional and would have likely been riding the pines with the Gurley pick. Benny was in the top 5 or 6 Kick Returners in the NFL and looks good as a 3rd down back. But, he makes the Rams as Utility Back and he will be behind both Gurley and Mason in the every down department barring injury!

Benny's niche in St Louis seems to be solidified. He'll be their No. 3 (No. 2 until Gurley is healthy and ready to go) back but he will probably continue to handle kickoff duties and his playing time will come in passing situations. Rams love his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield.
