I'm with you SpaceRaider. The whole season frustrates me. I admit, we are spoiled. A lot of teams would kill for our record yet this, in my opinion, has been one of the most disappointing seasons I can recall.
Players hyped up coming in have not lived up to expectations. Arike is solid but no Courtney Whitson. She plays some D but can also dissappear on the stat sheet in other key categories. Blakely obviously had huge shoes to fill but has barely even slipped them on. For every one thing she does good, she does three bad and as floor general it's unacceptable. Davis and Harrison were hyped up (like out current incoming class) yet have contributed little. Maybe it's because they haven't gotten their feet wet enough with PT? Harrison didn't play for over a year with her injury but I have yet to see a glimpse of the "when she steps on the court she's immediately the best player on it" coach speak I heard from CMI last year. I definitely want to see both of them live up to the hype, but they can't do it from the bench.
Good heavens, if something isn't working, try something else. Look what the kid from WKU did coming off the bench today. I find it hard to believe that these ladies don't practice hard. CRI has said he only plays the ones who earn time and he trust. It's a miracle we don't have the majority of the team transfer every year.
We will win a lot more this season and hopefully we improve. But right now, the team that started this season to it's current state hasn't improved. Arguably, we've regressed. Still time to get it together but the only way to dance at this point is win the tournament.
