La Tech's back is now against the wall at 2-6. Gonna be tough traveing 2 weeks in a row.

FIU got that double OT win last night and is now 4-4. This is the same FIU team that lost 73-0 to WKU a few weeks ago. Good for them. Both could beat us right now.

I agree. But, we always, always lose to a team we shouldn't lose to. A team that winds up with a worse record than us.

Like Stock or hate Stock, life with Stock has HC is predictably unpredictable.

He seems to do just enough in conference to not finish the season ~.500

There have only been 2-3 seasons (in 16+ seasons) where he has been more than 1 game under .500 but hasn't quite been able to take the program from 6-6 / 7-5 to 9-3+ on a consistent basis (and you almost need to project 8-9 wins overall (with MT's schedule) to be in the running for conference title).

Coach .500 is a slightly better version of Watson Brown – a mediocre head coach who doesn't know how to improve or is unwilling to do so.
