Had an opportunity to sit down with VandySports.com Publisher Chris Lee today to talk in depth about the game on Saturday. Chris does a great job with this podcast and we were able to talk for quite a bit about what MT will be bringing to the table this week.

If you get a minute, check it out!

Casey you did awesome but man that guy was clueless. We haven't had any real returns for this year. The TDs were a block and that fluke onside kick. Our kick coverage has actually been as good this past two years as I can ever remember. I will cut him some slack on the rushing yards because everybody has done it but he fell into the same trap of counting the bad snaps and kneel down to say we only rushed for 2 yds/per. It was really over 3 from the running backs. Not great but not a train wreck either.

Flash, you're over here on the sports forum? I thought you had forgotten about us since you haven't been over here in a long time. IIRC you didn't post even when MT played Kent St. in post-season BkB last year.

I was beginning to believe you were a paid right-wing operative who posted on the "Around the Water Cooler" froum along with anywhere else on the net where you could spread your stuff.

So you really are a sports fan and grad of both Kent St. and MT? Who would have known?

He did admit to having not watched MT this year so I think a pass could be given there. I did steer away from that one though. In all honesty, I thought he was fairly knowledgeable of the program given he doesn't follow MT at all.

Chris is a real solid guy, though. For as long as I've known him (a good few years now), he's been nothing but helpful to me. I'm actually going to meet with him next week to get some pointers and tutorials on this podcast thing so I can FINALLY get one off the ground here!!

Recruit, player and coach interviews, a "Where are They Now" segment where I'll bring in former players, game week content...these are all ideas I've had floating around. The possibilities are endless!

I was thinking it would be cool to have a podcast with this site after listening to that.

I completely agree. It's something that I've made feeble attempts at in the past (I actually made, and edited a 2-hour podcast for Signing Day last year), but was never completely comfortable with the software programs I was using, nor happy with the finalized product - so I scrapped them. With Chris, he's been doing this along with radio for a while now, so I think a good day spent with him where I can pick his brain will get me where I need to be.

So stay tuned on that!

didn't he have an afternoon program on wnsr for awhile? Noticed now wnsr has some guy out of atlanta they are broadcasting. Seems sort of funny they removed a local guy, even if he was pushing the vu athletics program, for some program based out of atlanta

He was. If you'll recall, I was on with him before the season started too. Simply put, he's done with radio. Fruitless industry and he's in a better spot utilizing sponsors for the podcast where he gets 100% of the proceeds. Smart move, really. He's gotten the podcast sponsored, so he can make the content free for all. That's my aim as well. We'll get there.
