Either after tonight or as soon as we end the bowl game. We have looked like we have no clue what we are doing once again and this time we are playing one of the worst teams in all of college football. There is absolutely no excuse to regress over the course of the year especially over just a few weeks going from a mediocre defense to one of the worst in the country. It must change. Except for a few great play-makers they have looked terrible. Worse each week = FIRED.

EDIT: I revise my statement to fire Stockstill and Nix. No wins the rest of the year if we keep this pathetic display up.

Fire all of them if you ask me except TF. Promote TF to head coach, and go with 100% fresh blood for the remainder of the staff.

What's the point in keeping anyone else?

IIRC Coach TF has said over and over that he doesn't want to be a HC. But, he could do a Mark Richt at Miami type of deal and do the playcalling as HC and just not have an OC. It would be much better than it is now. Really am sick of this. Stockstill has been here for more than a decade and our defense is the worst I have ever seen at this program. Freshman QB with no experience is thrown into the gauntlet and then your senior RB fumbles twice and your OL can't block a two year old goodness gracious.

How many snaps did our offense have the second half? How many turnovers from our offense left our defense on the short end of the field? Yeah our defense was tired. Not defending the defense at all here, but this game just exposed every weakness of this team.

Both lines are weak as kittens. The defense is bad, not sure if it is talent or coaching. I suspect both. We are slow. Punting is pure DII.

Problems are not just defense, but cleaning house on the defensive staff is a good start. I have no faith at all that our defense will be any better next year. I would bet, in fact, that it will be even worse.

We will not win another game this season.

At this point if we finish 6-6, the university should decline any bowl berth unlucky enough to have to us, why waste the money? And don't come asking me to buy bowl tickets. Not this year.

You know they're going to guilt trip you though. "Our ticket sales for this bowl game will influence future bowl opportunities. Blah blah blah"

It's time to pull ALL funding from this program until changes are made. That includes season tickets, BRAA membership (unless money can be earmarked to basketball), bowl tickets, flat donations, and anything else the program gets money from. Time to stay home for all games and events. When nobody shows up for the spring games and home openers and incoming money has been massively slashed you better believe that sends a message that cannot be ignored.

It's unfortunate we have to do all that to send a message, but it's the only way Massaro is going to take notice.

I'm not sure if earmarking solely for basketball is possible but it is worth a shot to demand they use the money for any sport other than football, to make a point. Either they agree to that and do it or you keep the donation. I am not buying a single bowl ticket this year if we do accept a bid. Probably a 10% chance I go to the FAU game.

I am going to go to men's and women's basketball games and bring everyone I can to see the teams at the school who are worth a damn. We need someone much less like Rick Stockstill at the helm of our football program and more like Rick Insell (proven championship winner) or Kermit Davis (young coach with promise and an actual understanding of how to run a team).

I think Coach Stock stepping down is the only way he leaves anytime soon, and I just don't see him doing that. Say whatever about Massaro, but he can't crap $2 or $3 million to buyout and hire a new staff. Mainly just the buyout at this point.

Regardless if the team wins any more games this season, there will be zero momentum or enthusiasm going into next season. Resultantly, ticket sales will likely be dismal. Attendance will likely be poor. Not a good place for the program to be. The following season just might see a money game or two to make up for all the lost revenues.

Usually coordinators and asst coaches getting fired are just a stopgap measure before the HC is let go or eventually resigns. Sometimes, some of those asst coaches or coord are just being scapegoated...generally speaking. I would be curious to know the percentage of times coords and asst coaches are fired that the program actually turns back around instead of the HC eventually being fired?

As a person, coach stock seems like a loyal, decent, and caring man. Attributes I respect. The reality is though that winning, success, buzz, enthusiasm, and excitement are needed to move the program forward. If that success does not come around every so often, then there won't be a program to employ or help anyone.

I can't help but think that recruiting is a huge problem. It seemed like there might have been signs of some adjustments and improvements, but this season seems to suggest everything is going in the wrong direction.

I know at times coach stock tries to not let injuries be a problem, but at other times it seems he harps on injuries being a problem. I know I am sick of hearing about it after all of these years. Coach Stock has been here long enough to have recruited depth, given them redshirt years, and generally know what he has. Regardless, it seems that MT just does not have the depth. This season, there seems to be about only 3 real playmakers on the team. One of those just went down for the season with an injury. Even so, a lot of the problems were showing up long before he was injured.

In a remotely decent football conference, attrition is a key factor over the long and grueling season. In my opinion, this has been a terrible oversight on coach stock's part. Too often injuries are blamed for lack of real meaningful success when coach stock should have been recruiting quality depth and talent that are being developed to be ready to step in when the unfortunate reality of an injury occurs. I believe the common football parlance for this is "next man up."

I cut a lot of slack for coach stock and advocated for patience in his early years in light of the fact that he was severely hampered by coach mac's APR failures in limited roster size and limited recruiting. That would explain coach stock's struggles in his first few years, but it is a lot of years now since that situation has passed. Coach Stock has had plenty of years now to build and develop quality depth through recruiting. Sadly, I'm just not seeing the positive results.

All you naysayers ain't raining on my parade. I'm making reservations for both Honolulu and Nassau.

This team and staff deserve a nice post-season bowl trip.

I think if you are going to get rid of Nix and bring in a new DC, then now is the time to do it. We have one of the best offenses in the country when Brent is in there. Any DC in the country would love to come in here with the comfort of having a great offense on the other side of the ball. Seems like it would be a bit of stress relief for a DC to know the offense will be putting up some points every game.
