In Corpus Christi, TX, the 11th ranked Blue Raider tennis team beat 4th ranked Boise State 4-2 in the finals of the H.E.B. Championship, giving the Broncos their first loss of the season (now 13-1). MT also beat Tulsa (ranked 42), Minnesota (57) and Texas A&m (47) in this tournament.
3-11-97: In Birmingham, AL, the Raiders (4-6) lost 1-0 to UAB when the Blazers scored with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning. Starter Brad Howard pitched 7 2/3 scoreless innings for MT.
