11-4-06:
In Murfreesboro, the Raiders (6-3, 5-0) beat FAU 38-10. For the 2nd time in the 2006 season MT would sweep Player of the Week honors. Eugene Gross rushed for 208 yards and 2 TDs as Offensive Player of the Week. Justin Rainey had 11 tackles and a 50 yard fumble return for a touchdown to earn Defensive Player of the Week and Damon Nickson had a 94 yard kickoff return for a touchdown to be named Special Teams Player of the Week.

The Blue Raider Hall of Fame inducted 3 new members: Dionne Rose Henley, Vince Hall and W.R. Jack “Axehead” Yearwood.
Yearwood played in 1942 and 46-48. He served in World War II and escaped a German Prison War camp. On the playing field, he was all-conference in 47 and 48 in football and baseball.

Hall (football) had 18-100 yard games and 3-200 yard games. He was named the 1984 OVC Player of the Year.

Henley (track) was the OVC Track Woman of the Year in 1994. She set 6 school records and was a 4-time All American, the first female at Middle Tennessee to be All-American in any sport.

In Youngstown, OH, the Raiders (4-4, 2-2) beat Youngstown State 49-14. QB Marvin Collier rushed for 127 yards and 3 TDs and passed for 2 TDs, to Gerald Anderson and Mike Pittman. Tony Burse and Dwight Stone also had touchdowns. Roosevelt Colvard, Vince Johnson and DuJuan Buford (2) had interceptions.

10-30-76:
In Murfreesboro, on Homecoming, MT (3-5, 1-3) lost to Austin Peay 21-9. The only Raider scoring was a 53 yard run by Robbie Rogers and a safety when the Governor punter intentionally stepped out of the end zone, late in the game. This was the first time Austin Peay had ever recorded consecutive wins over MT.

11-5-66:
In Murfreesboro, on Homecoming, MT (6-2,4-1) beat winless Murray State 33-0. Gene Carney started the scoring with a touchdown run. The second score came when Frank Victory blocked a punt and recovered it in the end zone. Defensive back, Billy Warren came in as a RB and had a 26 yard TD run. Billy Walker threw a touchdown pass to Herb Owenby and backup QB, Dickie Thomas threw a 42 yard touchdown pass to Ken Caplenor.

11-3-56:
In Murfreesboro, MT (5-2,4-0) routed Murray State 39-7. Buck Rolman had a 67 yard touchdown run and Tillman Harris ran 56 yards for another TD. Jerry Kemp and Sid Corban also had rushing TDs and Corban threw touchdown passes to G.E. McCormick and Bobby Locke.

In Maryville, TN, the Raiders (4-1-1) lost 20-6 to Maryville College. MT's only score was on a pass from Hillary Martin to Leonard Staggs.

10-31-36:
In Memphis, TN, the Raiders (5-1) beat the West Tennessee Teachers College 19-0 “before a crowd of less than 400 spectators." John Hambrick had a rushing touchdown and Woodie Smitherman ran for two.
