The time is now

Ok, I'm inspired!

So, I went to the Raiders Rising, and figured I'd kick in a bit, more to come later, so a minimal amount - seems you can send them $10 bucks. Great!

Yet when you go to checkout - it takes your $10 bucks, and then charges you $10 in "shipping"?

What the hell is it "shipping" to me?

I would assume some sort of swag box. I haven’t personally donated to the NIL collective so that’s just speculation.

If that's that, then that's fine with me. I'd also be happy to kick in a few bucks with no return needed.

But they need to make that clear.

I hadn't looked at the site since the collective launched. It hasn't changed. Very poor design.
I understand it is just essentially a board that runs it, but the site is the main entry point. They could easily get a student fluent in html to build an amazing site as well as run social media.

There also is zero posted about the fact you get priority points with BRAA by donating to the collective. There may be NCAA limitations on that, but that stuff is going away and people need to know RR is an option.

I want to support. I'm BRAA now. And for some incentives, I'd donate to RR. But they aren't there. I personally think they aren't there for even BRAA unless you live in Murfreesboro.

Being far away there is zero for me. I'm not expecting free stuff. (I mean a hat or something would be nice but still) I donate because I'm Blue. But I'm talking online not just in-person discounts, drawing giveaways for merch, etc. Connections with the local breweries and whatnot.
Yeah I harp on WVU, but their Country Roads Trust is amazing. Lee needs to give Wren a call and take some notes for McGuire and Murphy for RR. Donating to CRT gives you access to members only auctions, monthly merch/ticket giveaways like field level etc, access to football tailgates, etc. They've also teamed with a distillery for limited run bourbons and a brewery for a CRT specific beer where 15% goes straight to the Trust for NIL.

We don't do any of that. And incentives convince people to donate more.

The BRAA is working on a marketing campaign to incorporate RR and make it known that you can support either as it's important both ways. If you have ideas, I can take them to Hans and the team. No idea is bad. This is a pivotal time for athletics, where a lot is changing all at once.
