Softball: First weekend not over, and two victories already

Not sure the 2 wins over MVS and the win over AP tell us much. Losing the first game by a score of 9-1 tells me we don't have a top pitcher on the roster (and yes, I know we were going against MSU of the $EC).

Isn't that about half the wins we have had over the past couple of seasons

won 10 games total last year. Did not play mvsu last season but twice played tn state - another hbcu, and lost 7-1 and 5-1, APSU beat the Raiders 8-0 in their one game.

I did notice that the freshman pitcher who had impressive high school numbers has pitched only one inning so far but did strike out the side. Maybe she will be a factor as the year progresses but the team seems improved.
