Signing Day thread...

Am I missing the ticker on GBR.com? I really miss it.

The "Blue Raider Signing Day Central" is really good - I commend the developers of the site - BUT, I do miss the ticker.

A statement I got from DeAndre Ford moments ago:

"MTSU is like home, I wouldn't want to continue my college career anywhere else."

Great news on Bailey!

He's the type of kid that, 5 years ago, gets poached at the last second.

JoVante Moffatt is in!

Martez Durrah is in!

Tyshun Render (who's officially listed as a DE) is in!

Manciel and one possible surprise.

As I reported last night, Trae Meadows is not signing today. Not sure why, but he's not.

BYU signed an OL that's 6'7" and 410 lbs. I think the guy could play tackle and guard at the same time.

good lord. i don't think the fact that butch jones can't coach is gonna keep tennessee from winning if they keep signing classes like this. i guess when you sign the best players you don't gotta be a great coach. i still don't think the Vols get much done this year in the SEC but they won't be running Butch out of town any time soon with classes like this.

Matt Bonadies to me just a moment ago:

"I just want to thank the MTSU coaching staff for giving me this amazing opportunity. I can't wait to contribute to the future success of the program!"

What turned this thread into a UT-K lovefest. Come on Wiley; I expect better from you!

sorry just a random thought of mine. our class has been just as expected, so without any real surprises there isn't a ton to talk about.

really damn excited about peter bailey though. dude looks like a MAN and being a JC player will probably step in and play immediately.

I like the depth of this class. I know we spent some time questioning the balance, but it's broken out well:

QB: Urzua
RB: Garnett, Anderson
WR: West, Upton, Ducksworth
OL: Roth, Ford, Fannin, Brewer
DE: Render, Bailey, Philpots
DT: Manciel**
LB: Melton, Hargis
CB: Moffatt, Durrah, Brooks, Heard**
S: Beasley, Walker
Specialist: Bonadies

We addressed every area.
