I was a very young child during that time and have no significant memories of those teams. Never heard much talk about Bill Peck or Don Fuoss from the 1969-74 era growing up--seemed as an enigma. Coach Fuoss was here only a year and it simply didn't work out from feeling the shoes of Coach Murphy. OTOH, thought Coach Peck was competent from reviewing the old media guides. 27 and 25 is basically .500, but isn't a nightmarish record either...never understood all the circumstances. I feel the same way Space--he was underappreciated for what he did. Good to see the University acknowledge in such a positive light even though his tenure here was short. He was certainly accomplished and appeared to have an full honorable career. My condolences to the family and those who knew of him.
