MT basketball just announced Reggie Uphaw's return as Coordinator of Player Development. Upshaw returns after 7 years as a pro in various European leagues. Great having him back as part of CNM's staff.

Glad to see this for a lot of reasons. There is a real good vibe coming the men’s program right now. Expecting that this is going to be a big year for our guys!

I think they will have a good showing next season

If Jordan can stay healthy & gets his shooting eye back we have the opportunity to be at least as good as 2 years ago. Coach feels Green & Porter have taken a major step forward for the upcoming season. . Combining those 2 with Jordan, King, & Weston our back court is primed for an excellent year. We also have 6 athletic players 6' 8" or taller with 3 over 6' 10" to help with defense & rebounding. If those 6 can just hold their own against our opponents front courts this team should have a good chance to win most of its games.
That opening stretch of home games won't do anything but help team confidence as we get deeper into the schedule.

I see that Uphaw's already on the job! Latest MT BASKETBALL twitter has a photo of Reggie in the background of a practice session. Chip stated in today's latest Main Street Sports Podcast that Reggie will be in charge of 1 on 1 individual skills development. As a young man just recently retired from professional ball he should be able to bring some elite training to these young men, especially our bigs. Looking forward to see how each player develops throughout the year after working with Reggie!
