Between graduation and dismissals....we have 18 left out of 26. Only 4 out of this class have the potential to make a big impact next year based on this past season. Hope I am wrong. This is the class after the 8 - 4 with no bowl 2012 season.

I would say we pick up 24 to 26 players in this next class.

18 of 26 after 2 years isn't that bad.

Total attrition is usually around 40-50% between the freshman and senior years.



Trimming dead weight from the roster is a good thing.

If you signed 25 kids every year, you'd have 100 kids on 'ship, so you have to lose at least 15 of them along the way.

Still too early to tell but I guess my main concern is we recruited 4 DE's for that class and all we have to show for it so far is a converted linebacker getting meaningful snaps. The DE's need to show up in 2015.

I don't think MT signs more than 22 this year, if that.

Even with the 5 players dismissed? I thought sure that a couple of players would forego their senior year because they won't play.

Initially they were only looking to sign around 17-18 this year. With the attrition, that number will cap around 22. If they go over that mark, it'll be because they REALLY loved somebody.
