FOOTBALL Pro-day

Absolute embarrassment.

With regards to the players. Call me crazy, but I think Darius Harris can play in the league. Special teams / back up LB kind of role.

Brent had very little chance at the nfl and today eliminated that. Prone to injury is on his scouting wrap sheet along with arm strength. I feel bad for him but it just wasn't to be. He will be a helluva coach someday

Speaking of facilities, anyone seen Arky States IPF? Drove by it a couple of weeks ago. Looks incredible.

How the hell do all these other schools that have similar circumstances as us always have better facilities? This has been an ongoing issue ever since I started following the program, over 15 years ago.

How are we consistently outclassed in the facility department by our competitors? For heaven's sake, it is Arkansas State in the middle of nowhere. Or Troy university in the middle of nowhere (incredible facilities @ Troy).

We've got budgets bigger than a lot of these schools and nothing to show for it. Pathetic AD and fundraising department.

isn't it a bad sign that 30 scouts were at TSU for FCS players and no blue raider really has a chance on being drafted

We are on the hook for a mediocre coach. We have zero mega donors. Our fundraising is pathetic.

I think one of the biggest problems is that half of the "die-hards" on this board don't give $$$.

Not sure we have anybody on this board that could make a significant difference money wise.

It's been over a year since they rolled out that video of their athletics facilities master plan, and I don't think we've heard a peep out the AD or the President's office since then. Crickets.

I'd dig a little deeper if there were architectural drawings, timeline and fundraising focused on nothing but athletic facilities. What's that? Crickets.

I buy season tickets in all the sports that have them. At least I see some value back in games I go to. If I throw a few extra dollars their way, what am I going to see in return? Been hearing talk for years, a rendering or sketch, or a video, without something solid behind it.

I agree that we don't have a lot of large $$$ donors (myself included). But we do have 100,000 alumni in the state. If we could even get a small percentage to contribute consistently, funding some of these initiatives wouldn't be quite as painful.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I interned in the MT athletic dept in the summer of 08. Back then, the football coaches were telling incoming recruits that they would have an IPF before their career here was done. Maybe the coaches had no idea how little money would be raised in 10 years but it's pretty ridiculous how long this has been bantered around.
