LADY RAIDER BB Middle Tennessee (7-2) at Belmont (4-4) Sat Dec 7, 12 pm. Curb Event Center ESPN+

Boldyreva will do well with Kansas St. unless they choose to guard her with a 6'0" tall player.

I hope so. She'll have her work cut out for her against Ayoka Lee but they'll probably just be one-on-one against each other.

That's the first time I have watched us this year. I am not impressed at all. The amount of shots we missed up close was staggering and our offense just looks lethargic. No real plan it seems.

We don't have a floor leader like Courtney Whitson that pumps the team up. They are lethargic on the floor like they just going through the motions. Never said this about a Lady Raider team but they are hard to watch.

Definitely need a vocal leader and a lot of work on offense. It's one thing to be missing shots but it's another to get out-hustled and not put in the effort. If that's what's happening, the bench HAS TO BE IN THE GAME and not just sitting there. Lots of work to do.

Man this team has been a real disappointment. Best team ever my A$$
The most frustrating thing to me is that all the pieces are there but the execution clearly isn't. It's like watching a car crash in slow motion lol. Coaches have to get their stuff together and figure it out.

One last note before bed today -- it's good to get these rough spots identified early in the season so they can be fixed as time goes on. Still some excellent opportunities for wins coming up in OOC and in conference (CUSA is better this year, finally) -- and I'm sure the coaches and players will work hard on getting better. It's never fun to miss shots and not be able to pull out the win, but both coaches and players are quality; as long as everyone remembers the pieces are there and they need to be creative and open to one another... Players being flexible with what the coaches are asking, and coaches with being willing to play the bench and find whoever helps us win the specific game we're in... We will be good!

Not sure what's happened to Blakely. Was just a couple of weeks ago she scored 25 points against one of the highest pressure defenses out there in Tennessee. That night MT did put up 75 points against a team which will definitely be in the top 25 poll by next week's release date. The same team that played Belmont tonight couldn't have scored 50 in Knoxville.
I think something is going on more mentally than physically. We're a team that's lost offensive confidence in itself. As mentioned earlier there's way too many missed easy shots.
Very concerned about next week with K-State. The same Belmont team that handled MT with ease got destroyed by K-State 82-56 last month. The Wildcats are now 9-1, & will be very close to a top 10 rating by next week.
Whatever CAB's issue is I think it's filtering to some of our other starters. 3 of our 5 starters shot only 4-24 from the field tonight. That's obscene, & what's worse we only had 5 players on the entire team to even attempt a shot. That goes back to the stubbornness of the coaching staff.
Whatever the problem is I'm afraid it can't be fixed by next Saturday in front of a large crowd in Kansas. Unfortunately I think we should prepare for a rough night.

Just to clarify, the game against K State is neutral site at St Joseph, MO. There’s still a ton of tickets left and there will be a good number of Blue Raider fans there too.
