Notable games this week...DISCUSSION THREAD

What's everyone's feelings towards CUSA 2024 football after week 1? Believe Kennesaw St & Sam Houston have to be leaders in positive impressions. From there I got the feelings of "meh... to good lord!".

I agree those two teams had the best showing. I was a little surprised at Liberty not crushing Campbell. The Western Kentucky game didn’t show us anything as pretty all of our teams would have had a similar showing. Honestly, I don’t think our conference is going to be that great this year but there’s still a lot of football to be played.

WKU looked bad. Yes, it's Alabama...but the line for the game also opened at 31ish and went off at 34ish depending where you look. Alabama nearly covered the already bloated spread twice. That's never a good sign regardless of the situation.

WKU QB made some terrible decisions, and they did nothing of note at all during any point of the game. WKU looking very weak and very beatable. Unfortunately, so are we.

Conference as a whole looked notably bad if you ask me. La. Tech, NMSU, and MTSU all needed come from behind victories to beat average at best FCS programs. SHSU was the lone bright spot, but I don't know how excited I would get over beating Rice.

Duke and Northwestern playing now. Northwestern leading 10 - 7 2:00 untill halftime.

Duke is a winnable game. They should win but that’s one I could see us sticking around in for way too long for Manny’s comfort.

While Duke's offense is sub par their defense already has a Manny Diaz imprint. This defense is probably the most physically violent & hard hitting in Duke's football history. If we continue to lose linemen at present rate Duke's D will have a field day getting to our QB.

True, but if you recall the one thing that would destroy us when Manny was here, was when the opposing team has a QB that could run. We have one. So, that game could be interesting.

Interested in seeing how Sam Houston does against UCF today. They were the surprise of the week last weekend
