A tough opponent coming to Murfreesboro. MT (11-9, 1-2 CUSA) lost two of the three game series against nationally ranked FAU this past weekend while Vandy (17-3, 1-2 SEC) was losing two of three in Nashville against Mississippi State.

Just inconsistencies in all facets of the game right now IMO. Pitching has been up and down. Bats have been up and down as well.

Need to settle in and play within themselves.

first off our pitching needs to get better, whether that's improvement to the talent we have now or go out and get some good arms. What I have seen so far, it's basically a crap shoot whenever a MT pitcher steps on to the mound and MT may be basically out of it before getting to bat. Same with the bullpen. I get frustrated when a situation develops and it is obvious a pitching change is needed, but no one is even up in the bull pen. Of course when a change is made it sometimes becomes very obvious why there's a reluctance to turn to relief.

Have to say it was sweet for the Raiders to shut up a loud and obnoxious contingent of vandy fans. As soon as MT got the lead the majority of the bastards were up and out of there. By the end of the game very few of them were to be found. Glad the Raiders gave them a loss, just their fourth.
