Lady Raiders may not be a top 35 caliber team like they have been recently, but with there being 360 division 1 teams there's an extremely wide range of talent amongst schools. We are currently a 65 net, & for a mid-major school that's still pretty darn good. If you check the NET there are a lot of name programs with weaker NET rankings than the Lady Raiders. I know we as fans get frustrated because we realize with a few tweaks here & there MT could & should be at least a top 40 team.
There is a lot of separation between the women's top 25 & the remaining 135 teams. The losses to Iowa State & especially Kansas State hurt. Sometimes you have to swallow your pride & take your lumps.
CBU is only a 295 net ranked team this year, but all the way to Riverside CA is a heck of a travel game. Glad to see the ladies showing some fire & the ability to put the K-State, Belmont, & Iowa State losses behind them.
Maybe getting away on a long trip to flush some things out is a good thing for the team. Hopefully the ladies get reinvigorated & have a strong second half to the season!

I was thinking the same thing. Our win over GCU is panning out to be outstanding - they're now 8-2 and have beaten Arizona on the road. Another great opportunity on the 29th at Princeton. Should have a good number of folks in the stands for the Raiders for that one!

I can't disagree with your comments. While I still think we'll win the conference it won't be the cakewalk we had last year. Bottom line the Lady Raiders starting 5 aren't as strong as last year's team. Bigger concern for me is having a weaker starting 5 with minimal substitution patterns come conference tournament time. Having to play multiple back to back games in a daily tournament setting will likely prove difficult.

CBU victory helped MT jump a few spots higher. Lady Raiders at #59 Net Ranking now. Despite the 26 point loss to K-State it didn't really significantly harm the team's ranking.
