MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee men's basketball has added a veteran presence in transfer Jacob Johnson. A redshirt junior, Johnson joins the Blue Raiders
1st thing I noticed when looking at stats was a disappointing 25% from 3. However we probably shouldn't put too much into that. On deeper inspection Johnson was not a 3 point specialist last year. Did most of his work inside the arc. Out of 241 attempted shots last year only 20 were from 3. As mentioned above this was a pretty bad team, but Johnson was probably considered one of there better players as he did lead the team in minutes played.
A definite positive is he seemed to bring his best play against LIU's best competition which were some very good teams. His 6' 5" height continues to add to MT's team length for next season.
Great thing for the Raiders is we have a complete team now, & Johnson should be able to join the team on their trip to Italy for some valuable team practices & games.
