Lady Raiders (12-5, 6-1) vs UTSA (9-10, 4-3), Thursday 7PM

dnj:

...despite not starting a single player taller than 5-foot-11, the
Roadrunners are second in the league in rebounding margin at plus-4.4
per night. The team's tallest player in 6-2 sophomore Taylor Williams
and she's only played in 12 of the team's 19 games.

"We have to be more intense, we have to bring more energy," MTSU center Cheyenne Parker said about matching UTSA's effort.

"We
have to make sure we're keeping them off the boards since they are
leading the conference in rebounding, which is crazy because they're all
like 5-11." .....

MT women face red-hot UTSA

Lady Raiders win 73-53 - referees were not particularly good tonight, the slightest touch seem to be enough for a foul on the perimeter, while inside it was brutal, might as well put a saddle on Parker's back, Olivia and China seem to spend a lot of time down on the floor with no whistles on utsa.

wish the margin had been 40, very annoying racket from the utsa bench during the game, and their old commie coach was constantly whining...

Parker 25 pts, 17 reb, 8 blocks

This game reminded me a lot of the USM game where the ladies seemed to be focused for short periods and then would go into a funk where they could not complete a simple pass. UTSA is a really active team on both ends of the floor and are like a chihuahua biting at your feet constantly but we should have put the game away much earlier. Still not sure what type of team we have when things are not going our way. And, you are correct. The officials were a bunch of bozo's and I found it comical that the UTSA coach was complaining about calls. They were stuck on 4 fouls for about 15 minutes of the first half even though they were mugging us inside.
