Man was a legend. He and Pat were great on CBS, but for me, when Fox got the NFC, that is when football became great. The whole relaxed attitude of the Fox brand fit him perfectly. Nothing like circling the sweat bands of the linemen. Haha.
Gonna be missed.

Madden liked to circle the butt sweat on the pants of the offensive linemen as a measure of the effort they were making. That was always funny.

I wish the younger guys could have experienced Madden like we did. During Madden's time there was no constant preachy virtue signalling like there is now and tough masculinity was appreciated instead of being labled toxic.

Hopefully we can get back to times like the Madden years.
