Actually they only had 3 d1 wins and he didn't play in 1 of them. You don't usually go to teams like this to get players.
How bad IUPUI was last year definitely makes me nervous. They ranked 360th out of 362 teams last year on KenPom.
Middle landed two players from abominably bad teams in last years portal: one from Mississippi Valley State (ranked 357 out of 363 in 2023) who played 16 total minutes in the final 10 games of the season, and one from Long Island (ranked 363 out of 363 in 2023) who was a complete liability on offense- one of two D1 players in all of CBB that played over 925 mins and scored less than 200 points.
Counter's counting stats are better than the two listed above at their respective prior schools. I hope at best he can be the first guard off the bench. At worst he can create competition and be injury insurance for Tre Green and Jalen Jordan.
