but I did see an article on memphis freshman enrollment up over 30%. That same article stated memphis and austin peay state were the only two TN Board of Regent universities that showed increases in enrollment and that overall TBR colleges enrollment dropped by 1.9%. Also saw a tweet that stated arkansas state had a five percent increase in enrollment.

I was on campus the other day and I am pretty sure somebody told me this year is MT's biggest freshman class ever. Someone can confirm or dispute that, but I remember hearing that

Space, that Memphis number is questionable. For what I understand, they didn't "purge" any students with unpaid tuition and fees. Universities frequently lose a significant percentage when that occurs, though many get enrolled again. I don't doubt they had a good year, but I wouldn't trust any numbers coming from them right now.

With any higher education institution, always wait until after the drop / add deadline. You'd be surprised how many kids get homesick within a week or head back home
