...the huge blowouts by some of the favorites were not the biggest stories in this region. 6 seed Fundrail Quimbley of Middle Tennessee State won by just 2 votes over 11 seed Whop Philyor of IU, and in a thrilling, last-second upset, 14 seed Sam Walkingstick of Oklahoma State toppled the 3 seed, Ole Miss’ Sincere David, 159 to 158. To have multiple matchups in the same region essentially split the vote is pretty unbelievable - I guess that’s why they call this August/September Madness, am I right???.....
