FOOTBALL Former MT player finds a new home...

The transfer out of Stribling shows that local recruiting can be a double edged sword. IMHO when we sign a local (mid-state) player it's vitally important that he/she be successful, have a good career baring injury, and finish their career at MT. Helpful if they have a productive life after college, more so if they stay in the mid-state and have good things to say about MT. (I remember when a vast number of successful TN high school coaches had played under Bubber Murphy - bet we don't have a dozen today in the high school ranks anywhere).

Local players transferring out is just another black eye on MT to some local sports fans.
