C-USA basketball format

Worth noting that next year C-USA teams will play a 16-game conference slate with each school playing every team in the league once and a geographic opponent twice. There will be no divisions.

MT's home and away partner will be UAB.

In 2014, the men's and women's tournaments will be held at UTEP.

Compared to the SBC's format (20 league games), this will open up the door for an additional 4 OOC games for MT next year.

I could see the series with WKU continuing for a while if this format were to stick over the long haul. Other 3 games could definitely be used as RPI-boosting games.

Gonna be interesting!

My cousin lives out in El Paso with her husband who is in the Army. Would love to go and visit. I'm assuming they will still be there.

Nashville to El-Paso is an easy flight on SWA and usually pretty affordable.
