Good morning! I want to begin by saying thank you for your continued support of our deserving student-athletes. This has been another record breaking year both academically and athletically for us. MT Athletics is thriving and your support is crucial to our success and the success of our student-athletes.

I am writing to inform you of the departure of Associate Athletic Director of Development, Keith McCluney. Keith has moved on to take a position with another university. He served our university for over two years and we appreciate his contributions. We wish him all the best but we are excited to move forward and redefine the roles within the Blue Raider Athletic Association. In the meantime, Justin Morrison and Bethany Thurston will be sharing his duties and a member of the BRAA staff will be in touch with those of you who were his assignments.

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me. Thank you again for your support of the Blue Raiders and the Blue Raider Athletic Association.

Go Blue Raiders!

I hope Whit has better luck with the old farts. Keith had some good ideas about moving forward but the old ways and Massaro did not agree.

We need young farts, the old ones are dying off

The "Old Farts" have carried this University on their backs for years because the "Children" will not step up and carry their load. So much for passing insults. Now MT needs some big corporate sponsors and one would think with as much industry as Rutherford County has someone could get $$. MT was a big reason Nissan came to Rutherford Co. but they have not done anything but use MT for their benefit as far as I know. With the growth in Rutherford Co. Middle needs to put max effort into MT Marketing and sale Middle as Middle Tennessee's team. Student involvement is close to nothing at games and that is very sad. The frats come to party and leave and the everyday student just comes to class then goes home for the weekend to party or work. Kemit reaches out to the frats but none reach out to the everyday student on campus. Maybe the coaches need to try and reach out to the students and let them know they need their support at the games. Surely some prof's would let coaches come to some of the their classes and speak to the students. Hell anything is better than setting on your ass and expecting students to flock to the games. My wife and I have belonged to the BRAA for years and supported MT at a very good level and will continue to do so now that the BRAA is "Redefining" the roll. I know many had dropped from the Hendrix Club over the last couple of years. Hope they are looking for someone that will communicate with "Old Farts" that were dropping like fly's from the BRAA because of the former Director.

The lack of support for the AD isn't isolated to the young alumni. It's a pattern of complacency and apathy that is seen in all age brackets of the fan base.

MT adminstration has minimized Greek life (vital for athletic events) and has done a mediocre job of reaching current students, young alumni, and local community.
