Rare would be the fired coach that ever admitted that he didn't get it done. I don't think I have ever heard that admission from one.

Basketball was getting the largest piece of the Athletic Dept. pie. But Tommy had already packed it in after DeAngelo Williams graduated. Didn’t win a single meaningless bowl game after the ‘03 NOLA Bowl and ‘05 Motor City Bowl. Never won a CUSA title, lost to Bowling Green, South Florida, FAU You could put Stock’s and West’s records side by side, season by season and they would be almost identical.
