Not trying to pick a fight....i don't remember him being that guy and be a hall of famer. What was the criteria?
Kanaskie's father was an assistant coach at Penn State (varied coaching experiences but no obvious connection to Davis) yet his son played at MT. Often wondered just how he found his way to MT.
Kanaskie was a nice player but as mtfblue & blueboro007 noted; not IMHO HOF caliber.
One thing is perfectly clear to me: A school like MT doesn't have 5 deserving athletes for a HOF every year and we wind up picking the best available. Really diminishes the product.

I think being the all time assist leader would be enough to qualify you for the HOF. Kevin was a very good player and a great team first guy. Glad to see him Honored!
To be sure, there will be a freaking boatload of Kermit's players that came after that will be inductees. What bothers me is when some guy is inducted posthumously decades after his college career is done. Never should wait that long.
