Hold out for an Ivy League invite.I guess we shoulda joined the MAC.
Hockey school.
Definitely the time to get the sloppiness out and corrected plus nerves taken care of. Experience on the bench will pay off later in the year.As happens in games of this type, thought it was kind of sloppy. Shooting needs to improve as we seem very inconsistent. But glad to see him playing more players early in these types of games
SID has a promising future career in the polling industryI assure you there wasn’t half that many
Box score reported an attendance of 3,812 for Murray St game, & an attendance of 3,509 for Evansville. So I can assume the Blue Raider folks showed up better than they did for the Evansville game? Like I said, didn’t watch this one on TV like Evansville.
They had a decent crowd but definitely didn’t outnumber MT fans.Given that I have personally witnessed how well Murray St fans travel to Belmont, Nashville, and the conference tournaments in the OVC days, I would go out on a limb and say they probably outnumbered Blue Raider fans yesterday. I didn’t watch the game though as I was committed to another event yesterday evening.
If we get to play Tennessee again in the tournament I would like to see Jada & Courtney both on the floor together. Combining their ball handling skilks MT could turn UT's high pressure trapping against itself.I thought Jada had a great game also She can really shoot and the team ran smoothly while she was running the point.
I thought Jada had a great game also She can really shoot and the team ran smoothly while she was running the point. We beat them by 32, very good game AND we played the bench most of the game which was great to see - definitely hope the bench use continues. Jada Harrison had a fantastic game. Compare our win margin to #22 Alabama who won by 29 and Mississippi State who won by 28. Plus, their coach said we were the best team they had faced all year (at least defensively).

I was at the game and my thoughts were a bit mixed. I saw the potential of the team but we looked horrible on defense.
Part of that was sloppy/lazy play but a lot of it was Murray couldn’t miss a shot. I saw plenty of highly contested shots and they were falling. I’m not sure if it was more our defense or more just one of nights for the Racers. I’ll hold for some more games before I hit the panic mode.
It is unfortunate they laid an egg because you could tell the fans really wanted to get into the game. They answered every time to quiet the crowd. I have a feeling that was their opportunity to get fans invested this season and they blew it. I doubt any games will be highly attended this season.
