Any update on how this went? I was at a game tonight
Im of course blue blooded and hoping for a win. But I'd be ok with a loss if we make it somewhat competitive. That would still show improvement. Like said, make em punt at least. Hopefully open field tackling has been worked on too.Glad weather is looking nice for tomorrow's game. Hoping the team doesn't lay an egg.
Not to mention recruiting. CM said himself that Stock didn't like his staff traveling and being away from their families. It's why his staff skewed older because they were content to follow Stock's wishes. The zero relationship with Rutherford county and the mid state was a huge issue too.Think about that for just a moment. Even with slightly better players think about the coaching staff, the nepotism, the refusal to remove position coaches where development clearly wasn’t happening, etc. CRS was a .500ish coach regardless of facilities. Search your feelings. You know it to be true.
I'm not saying a word. I thought the same thing this morning till I saw a post calling it out. I for sure didn't catch it off the bat either.God eye. My bad.
Not arguing that but he was the least consequential of the 4. I see a world where Stockstill would have had a better overall outcome if he was supported more after he was initially hired.
After being here a decade plus his fate was pretty much sealed. You can't just start winning conference championships after being somewhere for 15 years with a lack of support said 15 years. Not making excuses for him, that's just reality.
He should have just went to Memphis or East Carolina when they offered him.
Regardless, I'm firing McPhee, Massaro, and Steve Smith long before I am firing Stockstill if given the choice. McPhee and Steve Smith in particular are the far bigger problems. They are the source of the never ending bad decisions made by the University.
Stockstill had to go.
Who gives a flip now anyways.
Good eye. My bad.Read the name of the poster. A l t h e t i c. Not Athletic. Spam account.
Although the schools are apparently in discussions, nothing is imminent. I posted the latest story from Yahoo in the MWC collapses thread.
That was my first guess but I'm hoping for unselfish option where one of the local players gives up their scholarship to make it work, maybe MT can give her the equivalent of a scholarship in additional NIL moneyUnfortunately it puts them 1 over next season the 15 scholarships available with only 5 graduating this season. Surely someone will transfers out, because of playing time. The reality is only so many play (especially given Insell's history), but I feel VERY confident they won't lose production year-over-year, like we've seen the last 4 years returning all meaningful minutes every season (with the exception of Grabovskaia).
2025-26 is shaping up to be a solid group that will earn quality PT early in their careers. It will be underclassman heavy, so I wouldn't be surprised to dip into the transfer portal again in summer '25 and get some added experience to team up with Ta'Mia.
just ask when you guys do your interviews about why he hasn't went that wayIt seems like the focus is all in on this year right now as Nick has a big prove it year ahead of him. They have offered some point guards so maybe that could be something to watch, but all domestic
They have really only offered point guards for 2025. Having a coach that has his future in question and on last year of deal isn’t exactly attractive thoSpeaking of the men, they have 9 players in their final year of eligibility. The women have their 6 commitments for 2025 already. What's the 2025 commitment list looking like for the men's team next year? Early signing date as discussed prior is coming up pretty soon.
For some reason I kind of expected that answerThey have zero verbal commits for 2025, and to my knowledge only 2-3 offers.
