FOOTBALL The Liberty Picks Are In!

Could be wrong here, but I think the Raiders cover here. There's about a 70% chance for showers Saturday. I don't think that helps the Raiders as much as it did against the Herd, but MT does seem to play well in the rain (marshall, fiu, BGSU up there a few years back). An upset here would be probably be the best win since the GT road win nearly a decade ago. That's not likely here.

34-20...

Unless we force 6+ turnovers or someone can slip Hugh a new burner phone preloaded with escort numbers to distract him, we are not winning this game.

We play our role as homecoming patsy well and compete in a 38-14 loss.

rick loses on the road consistently. IMO, the only question is covering the spread and that will depend on turnovers.

MT 21
Liberty 34

some information put together by a poster on the cusa board:

[Liberty] Wins against:

2-2 Division 1-AA Campbell
2-3 Troy
1-4 Old Dominion
3-2 UAB

Those opponents are a combined 3-6 against other FBS teams not including losses taken by Liberty. UAB over North Texas and Tulane and Troy over Southern Miss are those FBS wins.

Well, I guess we now know our place in the Wins column for Liberty this year. But according to our AD and HC, true to form, “it’s all because of COVID and injuries.”
We’re special.
